Firstly thank you to everyone that came and saw us on tour. All the shows were awesome so thanks to all of you! Also thanks to our good friends Robin Black and The Pleasures for being a lot of fun and two great bands.

The Lovecats – a cover of the Cure’s 1983 indie classic – has been given a 2008 make over without losing any of the original’s charm and passion. Patchwork Grace fuse the right amount of urgency, glamour and swagger into their take on this timeless tune. This is the first time that the song has been released as a single with a female lead vocal.

Vocalist Tori Trash takes up the story:
“As a band we wanted to find a cover that would reflect out eclectic tastes but that we could also put Patchwork Grace’s stamp all over. The Lovecats is a great song with an incredible melody that is truly infectious. I think our version is contemporary sounding without taking anything away from the original. We’ve also included a live version of the song on the single – The Cure rarely play it live because their version is difficult to reproduce because of the effects they use, we made sure we could play ours!”

Patchwork Grace are touring the UK supporting Canadian rocker Robin Black to support the single release on August 11th: The tour starts on July 30th in Carlisle and winds up with a hometown show as part of this year’s Trashstock Festival at Nottingham’s Junktion 7.

Yeah, it's been a while, sorry about that!
So what's happening? We're writing new stuff right now and getting ready for the tour with Robin Black and The Pleasures at the end of the month. We might even play some stuff you've never heard before on that tour so come along and check it out! Dates are on the shows page.
We've also just announced a special acoustic gig at Bar 7 in Nottingham on July 17th. Our acoustic sets are few and far between so don't miss the chance to see whis one while you can! Doors are at 9pm and admission is free so you've got no excuse!
